Pediatric Balloon Dacryoplasty (DCP)

Intended Use: The lacrimal duct catheter is intended for use during dilation of the obstructed nasolacrimal duct to correct epiphora. For patients 30 months and older, the recommended catheter is the 3 mm. For patients under 30 months of age, the recommended catheter is the 2 mm.

  • In patients older than 12 months of age, use of the lacrimal duct catheter is indicated as a primary procedure. In patients under 12 months of age, use is indicated as a secondary procedure following probing or failed intubation.
  • Nasolacrimal duct obstruction
  • Dacryocystocele

Adult Balloon Dacryoplasty (DCP)

Intended Use: The lacrimal duct catheter is intended for use during dilation of the obstructed nasolacrimal duct to correct epiphora. The recommended catheter for Adults is 3 mm.
  • Upper and lower nasolacrimal duct stenosis
  • Dacryocystocele

Contraindications for Use:

  • Suspected lacrimal tumor
  • Chronic or acute dacryocystitis
  • Dacryoliths

9mm Transnasal Balloon Catheter DCR (Primary or Secondary)

Intended Use: The lacrimal duct balloon catheter is intended for use during dilation of the blocked Dacryocystorhinostomy ostium or obstructed nasolacrimal duct to correct epiphora as a result of the following:
  • Functional and complete nasolacrimal duct obstruction
  • Dacryocystitis
  • Failed Dacryocystorhinostomy

Contraindications for Use:

  • Lacrimal sac tumor
  • Severe nasal septal deviation such that an endoscope cannot be passed up the nose

5 mm Balloon Catheter DCR

Intended Use: The lacrimal duct balloon catheter is intended for use during dilation of the blocked Dacryocystorhinostomy ostium or obstructed nasolacrimal duct to correct epiphora as a result of the following:
  • Functional and complete nasolacrimal duct obstruction
  • Dacryocystitis
  • Failed DCR

Contraindications for Use:

  • Suspected tumor in lacrimal sac
  • Dacryoliths
  • A severe nasal septum deviation that prevents placement of an endoscope in the nose

STENTube® Intubation Set

Intended Use: The STENTube lacrimal intubation tube is intended for use as an in situ (up to 11 months) device for various ophthalmic procedures, including:
  • Maintenance of lacrimal outflow post primary DCR surgical procedure
  • Maintenance of lacrimal outflow post failed open DCR surgical procedure with complete obstruction
  • Reconstruction of the canaliculi

Contraindications for Use:

  • None
